Do you enjoy managing processes, teams and individuals and being responsible for multi-million-dollar housing projects and timelines?
There are great things happening at the Housing Authority of Jackson County (HAJC). It is no secret that we are currently living through one of the most unprecedented times in our collective history. At HAJC we are committed to focusing on the future and our goal of providing an essential resource for our community. A resource most of us take for granted, a resource that provides security, warmth and keeps families and individuals safe and off the streets. I invite you to join our efforts and our team in securing and developing multifamily housing where you will be independently responsible for providing our community’s most vulnerable a place to call home.
Although we had to close our doors and quarantine, as many other businesses experienced, our team never missed a beat and continued to support our mission by being creative and overcoming each of the challenges our nation faced with the recent pandemic. That dedication kept our agency as busy as ever and now we have several projects in the pipe line ready for a proactive, decisive, and creative Project Developer to own and manage every aspect of these projects through lease up and occupancy.
It’s a big job, but you can relax knowing you will be lead by a director focused on creating a positive learning environment and independent decision making with limited supervision and you will be supported by a team driven by their passion for our mission to provide, develope and maintain decent, safe and affordable housing while promoting efforts toward self-sufficiency.
Our Project Developers have a unique set of skills and consider themselves life-long learners who are able to be insanely focused on details without losing site of the big picture. From researching properties for potential acquisition through every detail of a new construction including coordinating marketing and lease up with other departments. Our Project Developers are the key to our success of being the largest Southern Oregon housing developer.
Our employees are our #1 asset and are essential to the success of our mission, so each full time employee begins employment accruing a total of 3 weeks of vacation, 12 sick days and 9 paid holidays per year. We offer full family medical, dental and vision insurance and a retirement plan with the State of Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) and Oregon Public Service Retirement Plan (OPSRP). You will also enjoy a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work remotely, or in a private office.
If you possess a Bachelor degree in the field of Urban Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and have a minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in real estate/housing development construction, project management, finance, public administration we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
